MEET THE FOUNDER

Hi, I’m Drew Richard.

Pronounced Ree-shard

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, maternal wellness advocate, mother of three, and the person behind Ma.Mom.Mama.

WHY MA.MOM.MAMA

Mothers deserve support before the breaking point.

Through professional and lived experience, I recognized a deep need for intentional community, culturally responsive care, and accessible maternal mental health support. I also saw an often-overlooked need: mothers longing for connection and places where they can exist beyond caregiving roles.

Ma.Mom.Mama was created to meet that need through therapist-led groups, practical resources, and community experiences that honor the full experience of motherhood and womanhood. This is a place where love, exhaustion, grief, joy, rage, tenderness, and ambivalence can be understood together.

My work centers connection, emotional wellness, and the belief that mothers deserve care not only in crisis, but throughout every stage and version of becoming.

CARE WITH CONTEXT

Your identity and family structure belong in the room.

01

Culturally responsive

We acknowledge the pressure many Black and Brown mothers face to stay strong, carry the load, and keep everyone together.

02

Affirming

We welcome LGBTQIA+ parents, solo and partnered parents, adoptive and non-birthing parents, and people in consensually non-monogamous relationships.

03

Realistic

Support should fit real capacity. Our tools leave room for sleep strain, limited support, complicated relationships, and imperfect practice.
